The Roadmap for next Articles... It's up to You to Choose
Roadmap… Or you decide the order of publications ...
I was unable to provide new articles for my blog this summer, but now I've recovered enough to continue testing, researching, and commenting so I can write new articles.
Given all this time that I remained motionless, I retained quite a few new topics. In order to give you the opportunity to decide the order of publications,
I have set up, on my Facebook Group All about watercolor, tests, brands, techniques (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1515830181799971/) a survey. Use this link to vote and see your favorite article published as soon as possible. If you are not yet a member of this group, send me a request to join and I will approve you as soon as possible.
There will be roughly 3 sections;
First Section: Watercolor Paintings
• Colors by Pigments
• Make your Watercolor Painting yourself
• Test Paints of Study Quality
• ShinHan comparative of the two ranges (Fine & Extra-Fine)
• The Color of the Month
Second Section: Supplies
• Comparative brushes & tests
• Which pallets to choose
• New watercolor papers
Third Section: Painting
• Observations and Conclusion about painting a month with Triads
• Update, after almost one year of use, the palette to paint everything.
• The book of the month
• Overview of specialized magazines
• How I paint (different subjects, you can propose to me)
I will comment on each of these options so that you inform about its capacity.
First Section: Watercolor Paintings
• Colors by Pigments
After publishing samples, sorted by pigment, primary colors, I will continue with the colors first secondary (orange, purple and green) then the earth and neutral colors (gray, black and white) to finish with special pigments (from semi-precious stones)
• Make your Watercolor Paint yourself
I have been interested in a long time in the composition of watercolor paintings. I did a lot of research on it and read a lot of articles and books.
I decided to share my research, my victories, and disappointments and my recipes with my reader, because you will find that it is not rocket science and very economical.
It will be a long story because it will take adapt each recipe to the pigment and see how it all reacts when you put the paint in a tube or bucket.
• Test Paints "Study Quality"
For quite a while, I have acquired so-called study paintings. These watercolor paints are for the most part in pans, but also in tubes for some brands.
If you have any preference regarding brands mentioned let me know.
As a paint brand I can offer you; - Van Gogh - Cotman - Marie's - Talens Japan - Faber Castell Japan - Mozart - Rubens - Blue Box (Gerstaecker?) - Kuretake - Pébéo - Venezia by Maimeri ...
• ShinHan comparative of the two ranges (Fine & Extra-Fine)
I have two ranges of this brand, so the ideal test to compare them
• The Color of the Month
This section will cover one color in depth. Tips for mixing, comparison with close colors and its specificity.
Second Section: Supplies
• Comparative brushes & tests
I consider different brush tests of the same shape and size in order to be able to realize the resort, the ability to keep a peak, their water retention capacity and the finesse and variation of their line.
• Pallets, which ones to choose
A great comparison of pallets, in any material (porcelain, email, plastic or metal), their advantages, problems, their preparations and advice of use.
• New watercolor papers
New papers have appeared, others are now available in Europe and I have also added others that were not in the 58 that I already posted last year. I will also comment, apart from Arches and Heritage, the papers of different manufacturers.
Third Section: Painting
• Observations and Conclusion on painting a month with triads
Currently, I analyzed only the first 15 triads because my health deprived me of finishing. I decided to make a great article about these triads and get into this topic.
• Update, after almost one year of use, the palette to paint everything.
After one year of using this palette, I noticed imbalances in the composition and after my research on the triads, I decided to put this palette with you.
• The book of the month
Books are with the research sources of my knowledge. To evolve or improve as an artist, there is no better than to dive. I intend to comment on and analyze a book a month ...
• Overview of specialized magazines
I will flip for you the new publications with observations and comments.
• How I paint (different subjects, you can propose to me)
As the Anglo-Saxons say, "Last but not Least"... I will treat in this heading as well technical (how to prepare the paper, how to store his paintings, wet technique in the wet with its different stages etc ...) that concrete (paint water, sky, trees, leaves, landscapes, animals etc.
according to different techniques.
This is very broad and the topics will be according to the requests of the readers. An entire program …
Now it's up to you to let me know what interests you the most by voting on the Facebook group pages.
See you soon and keep your brushes ready
