Not easy to start

I know there a lot of readers waiting for my first post of this month. But I've had serious trouble as it seems that my Facebook has been hacked ... and while doing research, my iMac had severe issues with accounts. So I had to resolve all the hoaxes before starting to paint.

So I did research for subjects that could be painted with my triads and I sketched out about 20.

I was also interested in comments on the Facebook page of 30 x 30 Direct Watercolour and I found out, that the main goal of a painting a day was to do direct painting and not sketching with graphite and other tools. So I was quite disappointed doing all this research and work.

But nevertheless, I decided to do once a day a quick painting in a Strathmore Visual Journal with Not or Cold Pressed paper of 90 Lb / 190 g ( Maybe a little difficult for doing wet in wet). If I find out that some watercolor paintings can't be done using this, I'll switch to Fabriano Aquarello 140 Lb / 300g  book.

So, apart from making direct watercolor sketches for the challenge, I also will paint watercolor paintings with all 30 Triads, but this time I'll use my sketches. But this will take more time as I have the intention to do real deep research on how to use all 30 triads in finished painting. Hope will get through by the end of the summer.

So that's said and now I'll show you the sketches I made...

So I'll be back on next Wednesday as I don't paint during the weekend as I have a lot of family obligations and every Monday I do participate on a weekly workshop with my friends of Aquarel'Dam.

I hope to come back with some quick watercolor studies with my triads and at least one finished painting.
