Day 10 of the Challenge: Transparent Muted Triad
After disasters, and yes there will be others, I find a little more my landmarks with this triad I call Muted because especially the shadow earth color is a muted yellow.
What better way to inspire me with an old rusty boat with a big chain at the dock.
All the colors used are transparent and not granular.
Yes, it's amazing ... but the color "Raw Umber" is composed with PR101 and not Pbr7 as most manufacturers do.
It's a first color test ShinHan SWC, extra fine quality, that I just received.
I will devote an article to this brand later.
For the Triad of Muted Colors I used:
- Raw Umber - PR101
- Crimson Lake - PR83 + PR63: 1
- Prussian blue - PB27
All colors are from ShinHan Korean manufacturer like Mission Gold ...
This triad makes it possible to find quite a lot of shades, even if you have a warm yellow, a cold red and a cold blue. But I did not use them much in this watercolor.
The violets are a little less flashy because Prussian blue is a cool blue greenish trend. While mixing yellow with red produce dull oranges, close to many earth and shadow colors.
Here is the use of these 3 colors allowed me to realize ... Boat hull with chain.
I'm sorry for being so late in my publications, but producing a painting, see 2 a day with imposed triads, requires a lot of preparation and time.
But if you want to see my achievements, not commented, visit my facebook page https://www.facebook.com/dezire.herman or the page of my Facebook group All about watercolor, tests, brands, techniques. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1515830181799971/ on which I give more explanations ...
See you next time and do not forget the water and brushes are good.
