58 Different Watercolour Papers Tested, quick view
During the last weeks i prepared and painted the same test on 58 different watercolour papers.
Before starting commenting these tests (I did Arches and Canson Héritage yet), i wanted my readers to have the opportunity to analyse themselves these test and comment them.
As i think, that selecting a watercolour paper, is the most important choice to make before starting papers. Do you know that different brands of watercolour paint, with the same pigment, can behave different on one paper ?
Some papers really absorbs a lot of water, making loose and fluid painting nearly impossible on this support, but for fine detailed work it's very nice ...
If you want to lift, the paper choice is very important. It can be hard, even with non staining colour, to lift paint on some papers ...
If you have problems to read the test, i explained in an older article how this test is set up. Use this link to read the article.
So i let you analyse these tests and i'll come back soon with a in depth analysis of these tests.
Thank you so much for your interest and comments.
